Located on the Buxton Harbor, the Fish House restaurant was originally a building where fishermen unloaded their catches to be unpacked and shipped. When the fish house closed, the building became a restaurant, and they’ve been serving fresh, local seafood to visitors and locals alike for several generations now. Fish House’s menu changes based on the catch, and the seafood is always fresh and local. Try their Fat Daddy crab cakes rolled in potato chips with a pineapple jalapeno salsa. If you’re interested in a crab extravaganza, go for the crab stack, which is a crab cake topped with soft crab and hollandaise sauce. Fish House is open daily for lunch and dinner except for Sunday when they close for lunch. They’re open from mid-April to mid-October.
