A little history…..
Eddie and Lou Miller have loved the Outer Banks since they were children, vacationing with their families. They met and married here in 1968 and have called Dare County home since 1978. Together they raised three children, Brian, Whitney and Alexandra, all of whom work together in the family business.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (1998), the Miller’s middle child, Whitney, came back to the Outer Banks with then fiance, Bryan Wilson, to manage Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant. Whitney and Bryan have since married (2000) and have two children. Schuyler Marina was born in June of 2007 and Gavin Leigh came along in April of 2010.

Bryan and Whitney purchased the restaurant in 2007 and are continuing the family tradition. The kitchen is where Bryan can almost always be found, and Whitney is in the dining room, if not at home with the kids.

Hurricane Irene, which landed at our back door in August of 2011 more or less demolished our dining room. The western wall overloking the water separated from the floor, causing complete destruction of our then lower level. Having completed the reconstruction in March of 2012, we are all truly excited to be back open to serve you.

We know there are a lot of choices on the Outer Banks for dining, and we truly appreciate you allowing our family to serve yours. So, please enjoy the view, food and service, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted over the years to come.
