The Boardriders’ Grill (adjacent to The Pit Surf Shop) is known for epic nosh with monster portions to satisfy post-session appetites. Abundant variety makes for a menu bound to please nearly every taste as their selections reflect the owners’ lives of boardriding travel. Huge (dare we say, “two-handed”) Cali-style burrito wraps and signature burgers like the Mexi-Cali recall treks south of the border, while piling fresh guacamole on Steve’s Chicken Sammie harkens back to days in So-Cal. You know these two surf rats load up the pineapple on their Pipeline pizza and rock the authentic jerk seasoning on the Jammin’ Jamaican. You get the idea. And when the sun goes down, the DJs turn it up! The bottom floor houses the recently remodeled venue space, with new lights, sound and seating. Mug Night Thursdays and EuroNight Sundays pack the dance floor! World traveling DJs pop in all the time and you never know who you will see behind the turntables! Most nights are 21 and up, but The Pit also caters to the not-yet-21 set three nights a week with Teen Nights on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights all summer. The majority of entertainment on the beach is strictly limited to those 21 and older, so this is a really special offer for local and visiting teens.
