Kill Devil Grill may look like a diner, but step inside and you’ll be treated to a gourmet meal that is miles ahead of typical diner fare. It starts with a great menu of dishes that are all made from scratch. Choose from creative daily specials, fresh fish and other seafood, steaks, ribs, sandwiches and killer salads. The chicken wings have become legendary: They’re marinated for two days, smoked, roasted, finished on the grill and tossed in a homemade wing sauce. The Grill has a kids’ menu and outstanding homemade desserts. There are a few menu items you’d expect to find in a diner, like blue-plate specials, root beer floats and apple crisp that’s served warm with vanilla ice cream. Kill Devil Grill has a full bar and is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday. They are only closed for a short time in the winter.
