Outer Banks Restaurant Tours offers walking and driving tours to some of the finest restaurants in the Outer Banks.  These tours offer participants a one-of-a-kind opportunity to meet restauranteurs and sometimes, the chefs, to learn about what makes each restaurant unique, and to taste signature dishes paired with a sampling of wine or beer.  Whether you are a first-time vacationer to this area or a regular visitor that returns year after year, one of our restaurant tours would be a delightful and delectable way to enhance your stay in the Outer Banks.  Prices range from $57 to $65 per person; for the price of a dinner at one restaurant you have the opportunity to sample the offerings at five or six restaurants.  So, bring your appetite and join us for an informative, fun-filled, and delicious culinary experience!

Outer Banks Restaurant Tours also offers other food-related tours.  We have a Wednesday Brews ‘n Bites Beer Tour featuring three local hot spots for beer tastings and great food.  The price of $65pp includes transportation, tasting fees, and lunch.  There are two pick-up locations for this tour, Corolla and Duck.

If you prefer wine, we have our Thirsty Thursday Winery Tour which takes you to our wonderful local winery, Sanctuary Vineyards on the Currituck mainland.  There you’ll be treated to a guided tour of the vineyards and the winery, as well as a special wine tasting and lunch.  The price of $52pp includes transportation, tasting and tour fees, and lunch.  There are three pick-up locations for this tour, Corolla, Duck, and Southern Shores. Are you visiting the OBX in August or September?  Be sure to reserve a spot on this tour because the grape harvest starts in mid-August.  You’ll see the winery in full swing as they prepare the grapes to become amazingly delicious wines!

Would you rather eat in your beach house?  We can arrange for a chef to prepare meals for you and your guests in your vacation home!  Or, we can arrange a cooking class for you and your guests in your home as well!  Our chefs use local, fresh ingredients for a true OBX experience.  Design your own menu or let our chefs surprise you…everything from BBQ to fresh seafood to Outer Banks SeaSalt produced right here in the OBX!  Whatever you want, you’ve got it!  Prices will vary, so please call 252-722-2229 to make arrangements.

Finally, we have a very cooking demo event on Tuesday evenings, Secrets of a BBQ Master, for $68pp!  This event is hosted by BBQ Master Dave Boutelier of SaltyDawgs Smokehouse.  He’ll show us how to properly use charcoal grills and smokers, how to trim meats, and use rubs and sauces.  Dave will prepare chicken, ribs, brisket, and pork butt for us, along with some real down-home sides with the help of his wife, Michelle.  And yes, we get to eat it ALL!!  Be sure to come super-hungry for this one!!  Transportation is provided with pick-ups in Duck and Southern Shores.
