Teach’s Island has moved into the old Channel Bass restaurant’s location on Slash Creek in Hatteras Village. They specialize in steaks, and the menu also features great appetizers (wings, calamari, steamed clams, mussels and the like) plus fresh seafood, fresh grilled fish, fried seafood baskets, quesadillas, pasta dishes, homemade Carolina barbecue and much more. Teach’s Island offers a full bar with a large selection of beer, wine and cocktails that’s separate from the main dining room, and there’s also another room that offers private dining for up to 40. They have breakfast, dinner and a take-out menu from Memorial Day weekend through September; call for off-season hours and offerings.
