The Mad Crabber is Hatteras Island’s original crab house; they’ve been specializing in crab legs and steamed seafood for 23 years. They also offer a kids’ menu, appetizers, soups and salads, homemade desserts and any steamed or fried seafood option you could dream of. Try their Mad Crabber Platter for a plethora of crab legs, shellfish and steamed seafood! During the summer there’s a 10 cent steamed shrimp special every day from 5-6:30 p.m., Hatteras Island Poker League every Thursday and late-night sushi and live music every Friday at 9. The Mad Crabber is open for dinner from Easter through the end of October, and they’re now serving lunch starting in May.
